Registration deadline is April 17th. This is for current 6-8 graders at no cost but students must be able to attend the whole week. Also, due to limited space, a lottery will be held. The counseling department will let you know by April 24 if your child is selected to participate.

Important Message Regarding Bus Transportation:
Unfortunately we no longer have a driver for our 288 afternoon bus route. We have been working closely with our district’s transportation department to explore every possible option for a permanent driver for Bus 288. Despite these joint efforts to secure a dedicated replacement, at this time we must move forward with a new routing plan to ensure our students have consistent and reliable transportation home each afternoon.
To make this possible, we are rerouting Bus 288 students onto Bus 250 and Bus 279. We are also incredibly grateful to our partners at the elementary school, who have stepped up to help transport some of our 288 students.
Important Details:
Morning routes remain the same.
Afternoon drop-off times may vary for the first few days for all bus students as we settle into this new routine.
Letters home: All Bus 288 students will bring home a letter today or tomorrow with their new assigned bus number and estimated drop-off time.
New routes will begin Monday afternoon. We truly appreciate your patience and support as we work together to get our students home safely. If you have specific concerns, please reach out to Mrs. Harrell.

Our Exceptional Children have started a weekly coffee cart for our teachers. Students are provided with a list of coffee, tea and hot chocolate orders. They have to prepare the orders based on the teacher's selections which include extras such as sugar, sweet and low, and a variety of creamers. Once the drink is made, our students deliver the order to each individual teacher's classroom with a homemade thank you note.
In an effort to keep the coffee cart rolling, Ms. Pitman has created a Donors Choose Project. Click the link to learn more and please share with others.

We are celebrating our promise to stay drug free with a fun spirit week! Our S.A.V.E. Club leadership worked together to design our Red Ribbon Spirit Week. We hope everyone will take part in the fun all week leading up to our Early Release Day on October 31. Costumes will be welcome on Friday, but must meet school dress code and should not include masks, weapons or be horror themed.

In September, we celebrated our amazing 8th Grade Students of the Month who demonstrated the character traits of being kind, curious, trustworthy, and compassionate. These qualities shine bright in our school community, and we are so proud of our honorees!
To make their recognition extra special, we were able to provide gift bags filled with treats and surprises thanks to the generosity of local businesses. We would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to El's Drive-In, Chick-fil-A, The New and Used Bookstore, Lost Treasure, and Mac Daddy’s for their donations.
Your support allows us to recognize our students in a meaningful way and reminds them that their efforts and character are valued not only at school but also in the wider community. 💙❤️🤍
Together, we are building a culture that celebrates kindness, curiosity, trustworthiness, and compassion—one student at a time!
Congratulations Norma and Kevin!
